Ke Aloha Outrigger at Hoboken Cove

AT HOBOKEN COVE

Ke Aloha Outrigger runs a variety of novice, beginner and advanced programs throughout the week for paddlers 14 and up from Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse at Maxwell Place Park. Sign up on our Meetup page and register for the program that best fits you. Program descriptions are below.

For your safety, paddlers should be comfortable in the water and have basic swimming skills.

OC START

New to outrigger paddling and want to know more? Join Ke Aloha Outrigger's free OC Start program for an in depth training on the paddle stroke, the roles of each crewmember, the components of the canoe and the safety protocols. OC RACE
FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO TRAIN
Prerequisites: Minimum 1-season of outrigger experience

and current Ke Aloha Membership

The Race Program is dedicated to mental and physical conditioning for the challenges of competition.  The Program revolves around a Strength/Speed/Distance training style, and will require time both on and off the water to fully train yourself for competition.  This program is designed to prepare you for mainly iron-style (in the boat from start to finish) races.  However, water change drills will also be practiced to familiarize you with the practice should you participate in a change race.
