Small Boats Races

Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse is pleased to present the first outrigger canoe, SUP and sea kayak races of their kind on the Hudson River along the Hoboken Shore. We welcome elite and experienced paddlers willing to take on the challenge of the Hudson River and New York Harbor against the dramatic backdrop of the Manhattan and Jersey City Skyline against the shadow of the Statue of Liberty.

9 miles

Open to experienced OC1/2, surfskis and coastal rowing shells.

Hudson Course
5 miles

Open to experienced stand-up paddlers, prone paddlers, kayakers, OC1/2 and surfskis.

Race Course

All racers will start and finish at Hoboken Cove at Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken, New Jersey. Crews will head south on the Hudson River towards New York Harbor.

Stand up Paddlers and Sea Kayakers will turn at the green buoy in front of Morris Canal/Colgate Clock and head back to Hoboken Cove for a total of 5-miles.

OC1/OC2, Surfski and Prone Paddleboarders paddle to the green buoy in front of the Statue of Liberty and head back to Hoboken Cove for a total of 9-miles.

5:00PM - Online Registration Closes.
There will be no on site registration. All paddlers not registered on PaddleGuru by this time will not be allowed to participate.

All participants are required to attend. Attendance will be taken at the meeting. Anyone who does not attend this meeting will not be allowed to participate.

Registration

Registration will be posted shortly on PaddleGuru.

There will be no in-person registration on the day of the race. Anyone not pre-registered by July 30th on PaddleGuru will not be allowed to participate.

Lodging

HCCB has secured a limited number of discounted rooms at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel less than 2 miles from the race venue. Reservations include complimentary parking in an open-air lot.

The room block & discounted rate will be held until Wednesday, July 1, 2026. After this cutoff date, availability will be at the hotel's discretion.
